Chief Demings Announces “Contract with Central Florida Women”
ORLANDO, FL – Chief Val Demings will unveiled her “Contract with Central Florida Women,” highlighting a critical difference between herself and Congressmen Webster.
“Congressman Webster has been pursuing an agenda that hurts the health and economic well-being of Central Florida women,” said former Orlando Police Chief Val Demings. “When I get to Washington I will put the needs of the people who sent me there first – and never play politics with their health or their financial security.”
“When Washington ought to be focusing on creating jobs, Congressman Webster is focused on taking away services that matter to Central Florida women and families. Today, I outlined my contract with Central Florida women – because they deserve honest leadership.”
Contract with Central Florida Women
I will get Congress’ priorities straight and refocused on creating jobs instead of using women as a pawn and putting politics over people. Moreover:
- I will fight for equal pay until Florida women make the same salary as men working the same jobs.
- I will work to increase access to critical health care services and affordable birth control.
- I will never restrict a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.
