Demings Campaign Raises Over $4.6 million for U.S. Senate Campaign
Orlando, FL — Congresswoman Val Demings, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, announced today her campaign has raised over $4.6 million since announcing in early June. Rep. Demings completes the second quarter of 2021 with over $3 million cash-on-hand. After raising $1 million in a day after launch, the Demings campaign raised over $2.9 million in 21 days from over 113,000 grassroots donors with an average online gift of $26.
“I have been humbled and honored by the outpouring of support from across Florida and around the nation,” Val Demings said. “Florida voters and the American people clearly know what’s at stake in this U.S. Senate election. As a 27-year law enforcement veteran and member of Congress, I will always put Florida and public service before politics. Florida deserves a U.S. Senator who has the courage and conviction to take on the tough fights for us. The strong support we have generated in such a short period of time shows we will have the grassroots momentum we need to win in 2022.”
Congresswoman Demings was Orlando’s first female Chief of Police after serving over two decades in law enforcement. She has represented the 10th Congressional District in Florida since 2017.08/
