Demings for Senate Reports Over $13.1 Million COH, Highest Ever for Florida Senate Challenger
ORLANDO — Today, Chief Val Demings announced her U.S. Senate campaign raised over $10 million in the first quarter of 2022, the largest Q1 for a Florida U.S. Senate candidate.
With the campaign’s historic fundraising numbers, Val Demings for U.S. Senate reported over $13.1 million cash-on-hand — the most ever by a Florida U.S. Senate challenger. The campaign’s fundraising has been fueled by grassroots donors who contributed an average of $23.50 online in Q1. Since launching in June 2021, Chief Demings’ campaign has raised over $30 million.
“Chief Demings is inspiring a historic people-powered movement never seen before in Florida,” said Demings Campaign Manager Zack Carroll. “We’re building the most robust campaign Rubio has ever faced, one that will let Floridians know that they have a choice between a 27-year law enforcement officer and a career politician who doesn’t show up for work.”< Back to all News
