Demings for Senate Reports Over $12.2 Million Raised in Q2, Over $12.5 Million Cash On Hand
ORLANDO — Today, Val Demings for U.S. Senate reported raising over $12.2 million in the second quarter of 2022. The number comes as the campaign has outraised Marco Rubio for the four previous quarters, and brings the total raised since launch to over $41.9 million.
The campaign’s fundraising has been fueled by grassroots donors with an average donation of under $30 in Q2. Reflecting historic fundraising numbers, Val Demings for U.S. Senate launched an eight-figure, statewide advertising campaign to introduce Chief Demings to Florida voters.
“Chief Demings is inspiring voters in every corner of the state to join our people-powered movement,” said Demings Campaign Manager Zack Carroll. “Our momentum has only grown stronger since we launched our campaign, and it’s clear that Floridians are ready to hold Marco Rubio accountable for following the party bosses and special interests who tell him what to do. We are building the strongest campaign Rubio has ever seen, and we’re letting every voter know that they have a choice between a 27-year law enforcement officer and a career politician who doesn’t show up for work. Together, we’re going to drive this campaign to victory in November.”
