Val Demings for U.S. Senate More Than Doubles Marco Rubio Fundraising in Q2
ORLANDO — Today, it was announced that Val Demings for U.S. Senate outraised Marco Rubio by nearly $8 million in Q2 of 2022. This is the fifth consecutive quarter Chief Demings has outraised Rubio, with the campaign bringing in over $41.9 million since its launch in June 2021.
Rubio still hasn’t spent a penny on TV advertising, while Chief Demings’ campaign recently launched a new ad slamming Marco Rubio for failing to show up for work in the Senate. With the strong fundraising numbers, Demings for Senate has been on TV for over a month without a Rubio response.
“Floridians from every corner of the state are fired-up to join our people-powered movement to elect Chief Val Demings to the U.S. Senate,” said Demings Campaign Manager Zack Carroll. “This growing momentum shows that Floridians want an accomplished police chief representing them in the United States Senate — not a career politician who doesn’t even show up for work.”
